Monica Ander, R.TCMP, R.Ac

Monica began in the healing arts as a personal trainer in 1998.   Eventually this led her to pursue a career in massage – she completed the Thai Massage Practitioner Program and Therapeutic Touch Training, which made her hungry for more knowledge.  As a result, she seeked out more training in modalities such as Trigger Point Therapy, Raindrop Therapy, and Thai Herbal Compress Massage.

Monica received her Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine – totalling 3,450 hours of training over four years of intensive full-time study. She is currently registered as a Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner, Chinese Herbalist, and Acupuncturist through the CTCMA.

Most recently, Monica is excited to have obtained certification in Trigger Point Injection Therapy through the Society of Acupuncture Injection Therapy – who are the pioneers for this modality in BC.  In addition to injecting into trigger points, this certification allows her to deliver vitamin, nutrients, and amino acid injections to promote well being and relieve pain.

She also finds great enjoyment instructing at the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences.

Monica’s personality is friendly and caring, and she is vigilant in delivering safe treatments.  Her intent listening skills, and focused treatments, are sure to provide results.  She is particularly passionate about providing relief and lasting results to patients who feel hopeless about their chronic pain.

With over a decade of experience working with the human body, you can be sure that Monica will address your needs.
